Solution Architect & SME, Director, Public Safety LTE Solutions
**General Description**
Samsung Electronics America is looking for an experienced and business-savvy wireless communication device and network solution architect/SME to support our Public Safety LTE (PS-LTE) device sales and solution development. The Solution Architect & SME, Public Safety LTE Solutions will leverage his/her expertise in public safety and wireless communications devices & systems, including LMR, to be a Subject Matter Expert and lead discussions with customers and ecosystem stakeholders, understand their needs, define solution requirements, help develop the solutions, and provide technical expertise to support PS-LTE projects. The ideal candidate will have had extensive experience in LTE/UMTS and land mobile radio communications technology, as well as solid working knowledge of communication network infrastructure. Relevant prior roles may include technical, technical sales, as well as sales and marketing, with a significant portion of his/her career in, or with a vendor selling to, the public safety and public sector verticals. Strong communication skills are necessary, along with experience presenting to and discussing solutions with senior executives. Key Responsibilities * Work closely with sales and engage with public safety customers, mobile network operators, and public safety solution ecosystem to advocate and communicate product and solution portfolio and strategy * Understand customer, operator and ecosystem solution requirements, and provide requirements to the product and solution development teams * Work closely with the product and solution development teams to insure alignment between customer/market requirements and our solutions * Provide technical support and expertise during the delivery of Public Safety LTE projects
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* BS/BA degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent in computer science / networking; advanced degree highly desirable *Minimum 5 years experience in LTE/UMTS wireless communication arena, covering both device and network areas * Minimum 5 years experience in LMR (Land Mobile Radio) technology, including experience in a sales, marketing, or technical sales role * Working knowledge of wireless communication network infrastructure of the major US mobile operators * Minimum 5 years experience working in or with public safety, law enforcement, emergency communications, emergency management, or related federal, state or local entities. This experience requirement include working at a vendor selling to the public safety / public sector verticals. * Strong people relationship skills with the ability to lead collaboration across functions and organizations. Proven ability to in dealing with business leaders on all levels * Strong communication/presentation skills. * Self-starter, collaborator and team leader/player * Customer focused; results oriented
